Formulation

Each 19 g syringe contains Cefapirin Benzathine equivalent to 500 mg Cefapirin.

Indications

Used in cows for the treatment of subacute and chronic endometritis caused by susceptible bacteria from 14 days postpartum onwards and during the period before a new pregnancy. It is also indicated for the treatment of infections associated with fertility problems, including repeat breeder cows (cows that fail to conceive after three inseminations).
Dose

Metrinew Intrauterine Suspension is administered directly into the uterus.

Withdrawal Period:

During treatment and after the last administration, cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption for at least 2 days.

  • Meat withdrawal period: 2 days
  • Milk withdrawal period: 0 days

Milk from treated animals may be used for human consumption without a withdrawal period.
