Indications

OXITOCINA 20 is indicated for the treatment of uterine atony, placenta retention, delivery acceleration, postpartum uterine hemorrhage control and uterine exudate evacuation. It is a
coadjutant for metritis treatments, and to induce milk letdown
It is a solution for injection made with oxytocin, which is a synthetic hormone that acts selectively on the smooth muscle and is indicated for the treatment of uterine atony, to induce or accelerate delivery,
stimulate the evacuation of tissues and liquids retained in the uterus (placenta, lochia and pus), control of postpartum uterine hemorrhage, to promote lactic secretion and as a coadjutant in the
treatments of mastitis, metritis and agalactia in female cattle, sheep, goats, equines, swine, dogs and cats.
Dose

Used to potentiate uterine contractions during delivery:
Cattle: 30 IU (1.5 mL) do not repeat before 30 minutes if necessary.
Equines: 20 to 100 IU (1 to 5 mL) do not repeat before 60 minutes if necessary.
Swine: 10 IU (0.5 mL) do not repeat before 30 minutes if necessary.
Canines: 0.5 to 3 IU (0.025 to 0.15 mL) each 30 to 60 minutes.
Intramuscular.
