Indications

Useful for the treatment of dermatophytic and other fungal infections. It is active against Microsporum spp., Trichophyton spp., Candida spp., Aspergillus, Blastomyces, Histoplasma, and Malassezia pachydermatis.
Dose

1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight (30 mg per kg of body weight) every 24 hours.

The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the veterinarian’s discretion.

In cats, pulse therapy can be used — one week on (30 mg/kg every 24 hours) and one week off — which improves tolerance. In dogs with Malassezia pachydermatis, intermittent dosing of 3 to 4 consecutive days followed by 4 to 3 days off per week has shown good results.
