Treatment for dermatophytosis, malassezia sp. dermatitis ,cryptococcosis, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, sporotrichosis and candidiasis.
Dose
General dosage: Dermatophytosis: 5 to 10 mg/kg of body weight every 24H. A prolonged course of therapy is required; samples should be taken for mycological culture after 4 weeks of treatment and therapy should be
continued until 2 to 3 negative cultures are obtained at weekly intervals. Pulse treatment can be administered: every other week every week, especially for long-term treatments, although normally 3 pulses (6 weeks:
3 on and 3 off) may be sufficient.
Systemic mycoses: 5 to 10 mg/kg of body weight every 24H. Treatment may require several months to achieve a cure (from 6 months).
Malassezia dermatitis: 5 mg/kg of body weight every 24H. Pulsetreatment can also be administered: 5 mg/kg of body weight every 24H for two consecutive days per week, until 1 week after clinical resolution
of the signs. Felines and canines: 0.5 mL per kg of body weight(equivalent to 5 mg per kg of body weight) every 24H.
The dose may be modified at the discretion of the Veterinarian.
