Indications

Treatment of oral and skin infections (bacterial dermatitis), abscesses, infected wounds, and osteomyelitis caused by bacteria susceptible to
clindamycin. Due to its antiprotozoal action, it can be administered for the treatment of toxoplasmosis and babesiosis. Useful for treating animals allergic to penicillin.
Dose

Rx Spectrum® Clindamycin 25 mg:
Canines & Felines: 1 tablet (25 mg) per 5 kg of body weight every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days or 2 tablets (50 mg) per 5 kg of body weight every 24 hours for 7 to 14 days.

Rx Spectrum® Clindamycin 50 mg:
Canines: 1 tablet (50 mg) per 10 kg of body weight every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days or 2 tablets (100 mg) per 10 kg of body weight every 24 hours for 7 to 14 days.

Rx Spectrum® Clindamycin 125 mg:
Canines: 1 tablet (125 mg) per 25 kg of body weight every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days or 2 tablets (250 mg) per 25 kg of body weight every 24 hours for 7 to 14 days.

For osteomyelitis, it is suggested to double the tablet dose and extend treatment for up to 28 days. The dose may be adjusted at the veterinarian's discretion.
